Welcome to BXClub.co.uk, we are a UK based group of Citroen BX enthusiasts.

We are an Internet based Club, but have held several informal meetings in various parts of the UK. The Club is very informal in that there are no fees to join, members organise their own meetings depending on their geographical location, and there are none of the "normal" car Club benefits such as a newsletter. In Summer 2007 we will however be introducing some additional benefits such as a discounted Club Insurance scheme.
We encourage a spirit of doing our best to help BXClub members, and this takes the form of the lending of tools, obtaining spare parts and even getting our hands dirty!
On this site, you will find our busy and well respected discussion forum, which is your first point of call for all matters BX, be it technical help, parts and cars for sale or wanted, or to simply chat with other BX enthusiasts. Elsewhere on the site, there are technical pages detailing some repair techniques for common BX problems such as rear arm bearing replacement, a very useful map and list of UK independent Citroen specialists, plus of course pictures of member's cars, and further details on the BX range and it's development history.
The Club was founded in November 2004, and came about partly as a result of some of the original members having met socially as a result of contact on the (now defunct) "Andyspares" forum. It became clear that there was a hardcore support for a BX Club, and that many of those still driving BX's were not afraid to carry out there own repairs, however major.
A remarkable spirit of self-help has emerged, with members travelling to assist with repairs on other BXClub member's cars, giving up their own time, offering advise, and getting dirty!
We have seen several borderline cars returned to the road, after major work such as complete engine and gearbox swaps. Even more encouraging is the fact that such is the technical expertise amongst some members that massive tasks such as the retro fitting of airconditioning have been carried out with complete success.

Although we are a UK based Club, the success of our Forum has meant that we have regular contributors from as far away as Australia, New Zealand and Denmark plus many more non UK countries! In fact we welcome anyone anywhere in the World with an interest in Citroens and especially the BX range.

BX Forum - Bxagon details

Check out the BXagon round France Charity Drive October 2009 in aid of Cancer Research.
This website and forum is dedicated to the memory of Alan Smith, late of Hervey Bay, Queensland, a true Citroen enthusiast who died in 2008.

Our aim is to promote the BX, and ensure that surviving examples are either kept on the road, or recycled as spare parts to keep other BX's roadworthy. With little or no help from Citroen dealers, plus increasing costs of labour and spare parts, those that still appreciate the BX must choose between carrying out their own repairs or finding a trusted local independent specialist. As BX production ended in 1994, the car sits somewhere in the territory between "banger" and "classic", and at the time of writing several very cheap, yet useable examples are available at bargain prices, whereas very good, low mileage Turbo Diesel and 16 Valves are starting to make better money. Now that the GTi and 16 valve are beginning to appear in the price guides in some of the Classic car magazines, the upward trend should continue. Its worth noting that the majority of surviving UK BX's are Diesel or Turbo D, no doubt due to their cheapness to run and longevity.
All owners of BX's, with all model types are welcome to join, and a good starting place is our Forum.
Please note, do not email the webmaster asking for technical advice about your car, I do not have the time to deal with such queries. Please join our forum and post your questions, and a variety of BX enthusiasts should be able to assist you. Please note that the Joining registration form has been suspended due to an influx of spammers. Please again use the forum. Likewise, if you email me for tech help or with a car for sale, you will not receive any reply from me, the forum yet again is the place for this sort of thing.
