Citroën Conservatoire du Patrimoine - 23 November 2012

Post by Caffiend »

For anyone who can't go in September, or who might want to go again before the collection is broken up -

I've just been advised by the nice people at Le Club Univers de BX et XM that the trip they booked *aaaaaages* ago for the Patrimoine on 23 November 2012 at 13.30 still has 38 of 40 places left.

As far as I understand it, this trip was booked before the September 30th anniversary celebration as they weren't sure they'd get the Sept date - hence 2 so close together.

I'd suggest PM-ing the eversohelpful Xemes for assistance/advice, before I destroy the entente cordiale between the two clubs with my francais execrable - Chris, tu as eté un heros sur le 22 septembre, j'espere qu'il ne te dérange pas d'aider encore! - Messy buckets :D

It's always a great pleasure to help each one of you here as much as necesary
And it will be the same for eventual other future events
From here french forum and club can be considered as some parallel universe so don't worry Caffiend if you find yourself a little bit diagonally parked there  I really like it and please go on =D>

Where abouts is it? Just wondering how much it'd cost/how long it'd take etc. Always wanted to go to that, especially now that it's being junked.

Hi Kitch
The conservatoire du patrimoine is located in Aulnay sous bois ( between Paris and the Roissy Charles de Gaulle airport (north east ) )
We hope this tour will be maintained : at that time nobody knows …even Citroën's conservatoire boss …!
So actually we do not know the prices ( I think it will be defined in october ( does not depends on us ) )
The conservatoire tour always lasts between one hour and a half and 2 hours ( it depends …)

there is another tour planed on september 22nd :

CCC article Ian - "PSA poised to close Aulnay-sous-Bois". Lemme know if you can't see it (not sure if it's in the login section) and I'll e-mail you the full text.

Having re-read, it looks like the collection might be moved rather than split up, which is betterer of course. Depends where really!

Ah, that's ok then - though it might mean most of it goes into hidden storage like the Jaguar Heritage Collection.

Hi I have been in touch with Xemes and have booked places for myself plus son ( he's a CX man but that is a cross he has to bear - he makes up for it by speaking perfect French after 20 years in the Pop music business in France) for the NOVEMBER 23 rd visit. Intention is to cross Dover - Calais, o/n at "Le Relais" in Ardre and then down to Paris/Aulnay in the morning OR If the visit time doesn't fit we will stay at Gonesse (nr CDG).... I've just put the GB and Ecosse stickers on the BX 16 estate...

As I had a sacking against me , I am not member of the univers BX club anymore ( the french BX club ) since the end of the 30 ans .
So unfortunatly I cannot manage your registrations & bookings anymore
The best thing is to deal directly with the univers BX club's President Mr Patrick Marteau ( I'm not sure somebody is speaking english there  )

Here is their email adress :

club.universbxetxm@orange.fr
or
marteau.pb44@orange.fr

I really apologize for the trouble that could be caused : it really does not come from mine [-X

Good luck to every body for the visit

Thanks to everybody for those kind posts :D
Don't worry : the sacking have nothing to do with anyone of you :It just happenned 3 days after the "30 ans": this is just a private story between the Président and two of his friends : I gave them € , they did not gave me back them and after I have writen it (a complete page without naming anybody of course ) on the french forum ,then I was sacked

My message was just to warn people who are going to the conservatoire tour to deal otherwise than with me , not to bring problems here !

Anyway life is going on and I prefer looking forward : I don't know if I'll shake hand with Boris Johnson one day ( could be a good idea : if there's some work for me I quickly arrive : only 100 km to go :) )
But what is sure is that I'll stay here posting messages (117 yet  ) and also meeting someones of you when some meetings will be organised : I've planned to go to Scottland in June and surely to the Pyrenean Tour in 2014 …at least

To be followed……………
