does anyone have any pictures of the Bosch pump(s)? how can i identify which pump is which? theres an xud come into our local scrap yard and i was interested in getting the better stuff.

Many xantia TD's use the bosch pump and it's pretty obvious as in matt's photo with the ufo like boost mechanism on the top..

Make sure you get the sprocket with the pump though as you'll not be able to get the timing right without the correct one.

Also some of the later Bosch pumps were semi ECU controlled and they'd take unnecessary amounts of extra work to get going and running well. I know a friend's xantia XUD on an N or P plate has one of these pumps. These will probably look like this:
