Got up early on this beautifull sunny day and was looking for something to do. I decided to take a look behind the rear bumper of the TZD to check for corrosion as I've never had the one off the TZD. On removing the bumper the rest of my day became mapped out.

I checked the sunroof drain tubes were not blocked and I've decided to re route them through the wiring hole so they now drain through the drain hole in the lamb onto the plastic bumper instead of into the steel cross member cavity. I ill monitor this and see how it goes.

Nicely done. You just got it before it went viral and ate the whole car! my spares BX has gone badly in this way too.

I have just done this area on my break but because I had the whole spare panel/section I cut and drilled out the old rusty one and replaced it entirely. A job that was done by a robot in the 80s cannot be quickly reproduced by a human bodger like me!

You've done a hell of a lot of work inside that barn, shame you didn't keep one or two of the old beams!

I made it all out of the kids' Lego Duplo! This was a bit harder to make, needed a couple more hours and a bit of Mechano..

It's a Heuliez device for removing rust protection from the n/s wing. They had a similar device for the Xantia and XM.

I've got a book about H vans with a picture of them being dipped on the production lines. The book's French, while i have enough trouble with English, but with my experience of 70's Citroens I'd come to the conclusion that it was a salt solution they were dipping them in!
