I can't remember the last time i saw a manual tzd non turbo, must be rare as the only one's i've seen are auto's. Apart from the issues this might turn out to be a good un.

*puts down the phone*

Nice lady from Derby, car used to belong to her father who serviced it regularly, but she's had it for the last few years and hasn't serviced it. She was quoted £400 for the MOT repairs, which didn't sound bad considering they are non-trivial problems - however she has also been told that theclutch crunches on reverse (and generally has very little life left) and the hydrualic fluid is leaking in places.

So I'm out. However, she did seem keen to swiftly lower the price of the car, and seemed saddened at the prospect at scrapping it. But sadly she has only on-road parking so it will have to crushed in a couple of weeks when her insurance runs out, if no buyer is found. :(

Also, she said she tried to post it on here - but is still awaiting her confirmation email - so she might turn up later with more info.

Crunch could also be because it is a BX... they do crunch in reverse!

Only found that on the cars with a BE3 box, the earlier one with reverse next to first seems fine. Saying that I've just adjusted the cable on the 16TRS which goes in first time ever time. and that has a BE3.

Whereabouts is this car? and how much might she lower the price to see it saved :)

It's not that it's over priced or anything, it's just that I'm skint :(
