I know some people have had trouble getting clutch cables that actually fit. I've had two of these and they are exactly the same length and fitting as the Turbo Diesel originals - they don't come with the bulkhead rubber boot though, so you need to take that from old cable.

Re: TD clutch cable
The Citroen EPC says the same cable (pn: 96 081 710, 1386mm long) fits: "1769L + diesel + Turbo Diesel + GTi 16V"
There's another listing for pn 96 081 712, 1455mm long, to fit 1905L, 1580L, Diesel fuel and diesel fuel since RP0 04618.
So that's clear as mud. All I know is this one fits my TZD!

Re: TD clutch cable
The gearbox end of the cable is different for turbo-d, and 16v models, big plastic bung, which goes into a loop on the clutch arm on the gearbox.
As far as I'm aware, all other n/a diesel, and petrol 1.6, and 1.9 cars have a thick shaft on the end of the cable with a slot in it, that goes over a hook on the clutch arm.
Not sure what the 1.4 version looks like.

Re: TD clutch cable
I should point out that the main reason for the original post was that while some aftermarket cables have been reported as being the right fitting but the wrong lengths, this particular one was the same length as original and fitted properly, so was a safe bet.

Re: TD clutch cable
Just a quick update to confirm the above, As I rang the E-bay seller of the difference between the two types of cables (As they have both listed) and have amended the listing to reflect what's actually available, (which they thanked me for bringing it to their attention) also note that the photo's are not generic so the cables are as in the photos !smiffy1071 wrote:The gearbox end of the cable is different for turbo-d, and 16v models, big plastic bung, which goes into a loop on the clutch arm on the gearbox.

So here's the link's:- 1.6,1.9 PETROL & 1.7,1.9 N/A DIESEL clutch cable and 16V PETROL & 1.7 TD DIESEL clutch cable !
If you need a 1.4 Petrol clutch cable they have just one of those available (LINK) !
So get buying chap's !
Edit:- Get pair of HAND-BRAKE cables too

Re: TD clutch cable
Good work!
I already had some of their handbrake cables - also decent quality.

Re: TD clutch cable
Handbrake and acc cables are still available from main dealers, however clutch cables are NFP. Maurice Lecoy have, apparently stopped production of ALL BX cables so get them while you can.
