Fantastic result. Well done. Another (rather desirable) BX joins the fold!

Well it got us home OK, Warwickshire - Huddersfield, then back to nr St Lo via Dover, about 1100 km all told, needed a new battery, old one was as flat as a witches tit, but apart from a few electrical problems - no fan, passenger side electric window works when it feels like it, and a few other matters it went like a good un, and all at about 55 mpg.
Paul in Normandy - BX 1992 Millesme 1.9D, 1999 Peugeot 806 2.1 TD (the Bus) - gone bang on the M25, in a scrapyard somewhere in the SE of England, 1985 Visa Decouvrable, 1990 Land Rover 110TD (Great Uncle Bulgaria),1999 Isuzu Trooper, 1991 Hymer motorhome with Peugeot J5TD power, and a shedfull of mopeds!

Just thought I would revive / regurgitate this thread as we have just come back from a trip to southern Spain in the champagne coloured Millesme diesel. 3800 km round trip / 3 days each way / and I checked the mpg, which worked out at 59.25 mpg or thereabouts, travelling at around 100 - 110 kph more or less all the way. We also only got held up in one traffic queue, where a lorry had turned turtle going down the mountain road just before we got to Grenada. We saw a couple of other french registered BX's in Spain, but mostly modern porridge.
Will try and post some pics of the old girl, who has so far behaved impeccably, with minimal maintenance - I think we have had our money's worth out of it already!

Look forward to seeing the pics. Sounds like you've got a peach as opposed to a lemon. 8)

Congraulations on what sounds like a good buy! Whereabouts in Spain did you go?

Funnily enough, the 14 TGE that was joint subject of the original thread is for sale again (I know because I am selling it)!

Route was (roughly) St Lo / Angouleme / Bordeaux / Bayonne / Vittoria / Burgos / Grenada / Salobrena (on the Mediterranean coast) - return journey more or less the same except coming back up the west coast of France from Bordeaux to St Lo via La Rochelle and Rennes.
