Isn't it just? I like red anyway, but that BX red looks really fab with graphite speedlines. Interestingly there was a KLU suffixed car at the ICCCR, a silver GTI I think.
I'm not a Saint, or a James, but a Tom Saint-James!
At least he's included a photo of that, but I'd agree that to do a proper long term repair the screen would have to come out even if there is no hole, otherwise rust WILL remain in there.
hi chaps. the story is i bought the car a year ago and its been an absolute cracker....with a clean and a polish the car comes up pretty well as you can see.
i've got a company car now and my plan was to take the BX of the road and spend some money on her to make her perfect. since i had this thought my missus is expecting and i need to buy a house......how times change!
the car has lots of history and everthing works the way it should (windows/locking/sunroof) and i have the plip and it works for the central locking. since ive had the car its had a full service from a citroen specialist, ive updated the front speakers ( you cant tell to look) and the car has had a new battery and alternator. the car looks good but there is abit of a scab/crack in the sill under the drivers door ( i have a spare one) the exhaust is blowing abit and and last week i had to have the AA tow me home with a problem with the gear linkage...he patched it up and i can select all gears but it needs attention.
I've tried to be as acurate as i can about the car, i've seen some horror stories on here and i dont want to be one of them guys everyone ends up hating thats why i would invite anyone to come and look at the car and you can even use my ramps.
the car is taxted till the end of september and and MOT'd till the 12th of October
i paid £500 for the car and must have easily spent double that on it in the last 12 months, i would like the £500 hundred back and i would be delighted.
if i cant sell the car even though i really really dont want to i will scrap it because im sure most of you know kids and houses arnt cheap and i need every penny i can get......i thought running old citroens would go on for ever but sadly at 25 i've been cut down in my prime!
if anyone wants anymore info please dotn hesitate to call
Might have to buy it and breathe on it just to make it way faster than these 16v common things
1992 BX 4x4 Gti aircon Silver
1991 BX 19 TGD Red(the Red Baron)
1993 BX 17 TZD Red the new Daily

1985 Landrover Defender 90 4SC County
some other newer Nissans
I'd imagine it'd be fun, but at 50% more to insure than a diesel (for example), or anything else I currently have, it's an expensive option financially

Historically, the forum has never been the best place to sell vehicles. Inevitably you'll get a fair bit of interest from people who'd like to own it, but there's not been many threads which result in a sale. GTis seem to fall into a 'no man's land' as they have higher insurance costs without the desirability to most of being top of the range. That said, I'm sure you'd get around £500 for it on eBay, depending on the advert description and starting price.
It's the problem of enthusiast clubs. Most of us already have at least one! I think this is just old enough for classic insurance though - that doesn't seem to be affected by performance.
