Hi all, At the moment i'm like an headless chicken as said
I went to a funeral last week on the way out some guy gave me a rear shunt
i I reckon its a right off the bumper & tail gate are gonnas nearside rear door
does not close the drivers seat has moved back .
I thought that car was gonna be with me for
the rest off so in the meantime
i'm looking for another .

Jay was selling his, but it'd need reverting back to standard if you wanted a standard one. Guessing you don't want buckets and a cage
I've got most of the bits to build another 16v, but it'd cost way more than the car is worth.
Incidentally, when you're fighting with the insurers over value it might be worth buying a copy of CCW as my BX has been valued in it. They might try and mug you off with £1k or something, but realistically yours is probably a £2500-£3000 car these days.
Could also be worth buying it back and trying to fix it, though I don't know how bad it is.

Shame to hear - I don't think my dad is looking to sell his phase 1 (which would be top end of current values anyway)
If I remember correctly yours has non-functional air-con? If so don't let the buggers take it away to scrap it, if it does prove to be uneconomic to repair through the insurance. I know I'd be interested in the dash bits to build an air-con setup to transfer into ours and given the rarity of the cars now it's always better if the good bits can be salvaged rather than being wasted.

It'll be the integrity of the boot floor that's the deciding factor, I suspect, to whether it's repairable. Requiring a new bumper, bootlid and the panel across the back (assuming you can even get them still) I reckon you're looking at £2-3k repair, at the minimum.

It's fixable - I even have some of the panels you need. It's whether you'd want to see it through, to be honest.
