Hi all,
I've just put my Citroen BX up for sale on Ebay: www.ebay.co.uk/itm/235682659242
Some of you may remember I picked it up off another member of this forum, see thread here: https://bxclub.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?p=266243
A lot has happened since then, I never kept the thread up to date, but I did do a lot of work on the car! The ebay ad covers most of it but I can go into more detail if required.
Alas I never got it back on the road, too many other projects on the go and I need some drive space back.
Please feel free to ask any questions and spread the word if anyone is interested.
Cheers,
George

Thats a shame George as you did so most of the hardwork, a new octopus is the expensive bit as long as you good with a welder.
If it has been a 19RD I would be buying it.

I see that this one sold on eBay for >£600. Hope it goes to a home that will take good care of it.
The Joy of BX with just one Citroën BX to my name now. Will I sing Bye Bye to my GTI or will it be Till death us do part.

Re: My Citroen BX 16 RS on Ebay
An update on this, unfortunately I've been messed about by the buyer on ebay, complete timewaster who's pulled out of the purchase!
So I've decided to do the remaining work to get it roadworthy and put an MOT on it, was pretty disappointed it only made £600 anyway.
If anyone could point me in the direction of the correct hydraulic pipework I need to stop the leaking that would be much appreciated, the pic below shows the 2 lines which had split and I've spliced in the short lengths of other hose to make it useable temporarily.
The car will be up for sale hopefully in the next few weeks with an MOT, if anyone is interested in buying it please feel free to message, I'm open to offers.

Re: My Citroen BX 16 RS on Ebay
Those two lines are part of and go back to the main octopus. New octopi are available from Chevronics. But it is a lot cheaper to splice in a new section as you have done. The fuel hose you have used will do the job but you can get better looking non braided hose from Pleiades or you could give Thames Valley Hydraulics in Didcot Southmead a try.
I have got a big stash of parts should you find you need something for your fettling.
Best of luck with it.

Re: My Citroen BX 16 RS on Ebay
Hi all,
The BX is roadworthy once more! Sailed through an MOT with no advisories earlier in the week.
It drives really nicely, so happy I've got it back on the road
Unfortunately I do still need the space on the drive otherwise I'd love to keep it.
As such it's back on Ebay: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/235785104753
If anyone has any questions or wants to make an offer please feel free to message.
Cheers,
George

That went for a disappointingly small amount George. I hope the highest bidder doesn't mess you around again.
