The TXD he said isnt as good as it 1st appears and needed welding to inner front wings and boot floor and the St Tropez is complete except a door trim but is rotten. But im going to try and save them from the crusher as they will yield many spares for us all and they can sit up at the farm till they are no longer needed.
It now all depends on the recovery costs but will report back in due course.
Richard.

Its been a while since I went, remember the ST Tropez being a bit of a shed, the TXD looked nice but didnt look to close in the rust areas. All the other BX's have since been scrapped, there was quite a few!richardd1652 wrote:Aha, What was the rest of it like Tim? Any more photos of the cars anyone?
Didnt get chance to get a recovery cost today but intend to find out tomorrow. What else have they got lurking?
Should really go down myself for a nosey.

Right, well I work for Philip and I can tell you this:
The panels on the TXD are pretty good, I think it has a metal bonnet too, the driver's seat is missing, and the gearbox and most things that make the engine "bx" are in the boot. The shell is rotten around the struts as I recall, but it was a fair while ago now since we had it in.
The St Tropez had a decent 1.4 mill in it that had (I believe) a head gasket kit put on it a little before it's lay up, however the sills are looking moody on it and someone has liberated the badges from the boot lid and an interior panel I think, it has been locked for most of it's stay so there isn't too much missing.
We cubed a lot of bx's back in the day, those of you who check back my username will find the other one we have lurking that may be for sale.
I can possibly get pictures in the week if anyone is interested.

They may be dirty and rusty, but I can only dream of neatly routed return pipes like those...

we've a brand new one in stock, £49.20 plus the vat. I asked phil about a second hand one which provoked a reaction that i can only describe as Mutley with tourettes' syndrome. The summary being don't do it!
Also on site is a well stripped, crash damaged estate and that green one i posted on here a while ago.
