The CCC Facebook page has been busy today! I finally got confirmation of a booking - Monday 10th October 13hr30-15hr50 2016.

NOTE There are nearly 30 people on the list already, so if you are not on Facebook and want to come along, please let me know asap: challenge2012@btopenworld.com and I'll put your name down. We are allowed a maximum of 40 people so if you are bringing passenger(s) I'll need to know.

I can heartily recommend it, having been twice, if I wasn't getting Married this year AND going to the ICCCR I would still go again.

Well, it didn't take long to get 40 names on the list! There will be another trip organised, I'm sure. Just don't know how long the Conservatoire will be there.

I'm sure it won't be long before the former Aulnay factory site is earmarked for the French equivalent of a Barrat housing development.

Yep! Time has slipped away far too quickly for my liking - thinking about we went on the 20th ( ? ) September I think so the 10th October just over 4 years since then, still, it was good fun driving the BX round France, just feels ... right, even if we are sat on the wrong side of the car for them  I'm looking forward to this, its the only thing close to a holiday i have planned for this year so it gives me something to work towards

UPDATE
I have an additional date for a Conservatoire visit. It is Monday 3rd October 13:30pm (exactly a week prior to the one already booked). I have some people on the waiting list.

There might also be those who have joined the 10th October visit (which maxed out at 40 people) who might want to swap. I'm sure something could be sorted. But please bear with me as it is quite tricky organising names and numbers this way.

Contact me on yo.phil@btopenworld.com if seriously interested in joining the trip. It's only 8€ to get in by the way.

I have just posted this on the CCC Forum: (and you thought it was quiet here? ;) )

"If there was ever any doubt, the activity - or lack of - on this thread on this Forum shows just how much more active Facebook has become in the past year. I'm not dismissing this club resource: that's what it is - with it's searchable database of the accumulated Citroen knowledge from years of enthusiast input... but it really is hopeless when it comes to drumming up support for events.

Since the original post here, made on the 29th of January there have been 28 views and no posts other than mine.

In the same time, via Facebook, I have filled 58 places (at the last count) on two trips to the Citroen Conservatoire. I've collected the deposit/entry fee from most, and people have already started eagerly booking Hotel/Crossings. There's been much chatting and exchange of travel plans etc. as well as some enthusiastic recounting of previous visits to that venue.

I can assume that everyone here who might've seen the post, have either gone to Facebook to sort it, or have been before or are not interested. Don't worry. This is not unique: I have posted elsewhere too: but 100% of participants have booked their place via Facebook.

Says a lot about the way things are these days."

Mark Zuckerberg designed Facebook for trendy, young, college kids and it's predominantly being used by us crusty old fogeys. :D
