Hello
BX Club UK,
Just a note to say I am a proud owner of a Silver 1992 BX 19 D Automatic
(Re image) in immaculate condition.(Factory numbers give 17/9/1992)
It has done 95000 Km (59000 miles ?).
I am the second owner. The first owner was a Doctor who really "Pampered
" it.
He is now in his 80's and had to part with her because he had difficulty
renewing his driving licence.
It would break your heart wouldn't it.
I just love her. She is the best car I have ever owned.
I attach a photo of her..
I am also a member of the Auckland Citroen Car Club.
As well I own a 1988 BX 19 Auto which my father drives-this one
has 199000 kms on the clock, but runs very well.
Also I have a 16 valve Auto which is an intact wreck ,which I will
use to replace parts on the other 2 BX's in due course.
I believe the BX is a superb Vehicle.
I also own an AX 11 TRS 1990 with 145000 kms on the clock ,which
is in very good condition.
I use her for my daily running around to preserve my Silver BX which
I take out occassionally for very enjoyable
long runs.
I am in the process of trying to get a new TUD3 1365 cc diesel engine
and transmission for my AX through our NZ Citroen agent.
Would anyone know who I might contact in the UK for obtaining one.
Keep up the very good work in maintaining and promoting the BX.
There are a reasonable number of BX's on our NZ roads, usually in
very good condition.
They are quite distinctive here-no other car like them.
Kind Regards
Graeme Samson
