This
is my 2nd GTI, the first one i bought new through Salters Garage
(one of your noted specialist garages who had been looking after
my CX's) in about 1986 when they were introduced. I sold it about
3/4 yrs later, but a great car, giving me no trouble. I found this
one by chance at another of your specialist garages in Exeter--
Mike Hesford in October 2004. First registered 1st August 1992,
49432 genuine miles and as you see Grey in colour. Three previous
owners, the first two were a mother & her daughter & then
Mike. A few things needed doing, the bonnet & drivers door had
been "keyed" the tyres a bit suspect and the radiator
leaking, oh and by the way he wasn't thinking of selling!! However
we had a discussion, he agreed to do the work & a service &
I agreed a sensible price! Everybody happy,especially me. Long may
it last
