I bought this recently, I love BX Turbo Diesels and this one doesn't disappoint.

Hi Tim , it does have C5 alloys for now, it will be going onto speedlines, the bonnet is a correct period accessory but the original bonnet was supplied also, I quite like the it's different factor , a sunroof wind deflector was supplied to but I need to make the clips. On the whole it's a very useable car. I find it quite sad now that I'm meeting people that haven't seen a BX in action I have to park it at work with the suspension down or I get people coming to tell me the back springs broken when it sinks!

Same as me, if I ever go anywhere in one of mine (the GT especially in early 80s beige) people come and talk to you.

Nice one. Yes with the bonnet it's a bit of a marmite thing. I think if you could work out a way of getting the chevrons onto it, it'd be better. :) Looks like it'll come up a treat (new indicators will spruce it up lol) - and (IMO) you really do need to lose those number plates. :-/

Now should I really kill the styling and add the Morettes resting in the garage, I agree on the number plates, I've got rid of the yellow headlights it also needs the oroginal pram handle spoiler refitting in place of the small black one , there no rush I might have it all done for the ICCCR

I was thinking the font on the plates had a very French feel to it.....change the Nos' and it could be in Paris....

The plates are pressed metal French style and were on the car when I bought it, It would be better with some period British plates

Maybe, but if those are full metal plates then they will last longer than plastic ones in a supermarket car park especially when someone "taps" it with a tow-ball.

The main consideration is , I guess, whether they conform to the UK regulations and are legal?
