Re: Aircon Blowing Fuse

Post by Dragon Man »

resurrecting an old thread i know but i like to say i have this issue. the AC compressor clutch was cleaned when i cleaned the engine and no LHM has spilled on it in recent times. just to note that i have seen the clutch pull almost 15 amps on its own for a split second only when the blower fan is on max.. then return to what i assume is normal running amps.

i have a low voltage 40 amp trip (that gives out a constant beep tone when tripped) in place of the fuse now and it still trips it every so often. yes i know its not ideal, but i have ran out of replacement fuses. i just got to hope that in time it fixes itself like it did for the OP.

was thinking of washing the clutch out with paraffin or brake cleaner, see if that helps..
