Jacking up a bx

Post by Meter rat »

Safest place to jack up a car and to place axel stands? Jack is either a trolly or bottle.

Front end I always jack mine under the subframe with a block of wood between
Back end usually under the rear beam
If your sills are solid you can use the jacking points they are strengthened for this purpose
Axle stands again under the rear beam is prob best and under front subframe with a block of wood
Unfortunately there aren't many places to jack the back end
Just bear in mind if you jack it up you will loose all hydraulic pressure on whichever corner you are lifting and you will need to start your engine to regain pressure with your height lever in "high" otherwise it will drop to the floor and you wont get your jack out..
