You've got to give old Fenland Arthur Daley his due; he keeps digging 'em up from somewhere! Top dollar, but in light of what is ostensibly a new BX it'd be churlish to argue.

Lovely car, but you have to wonder about the thoughts that lead to this car being put away at this mileage in the first place, especially considering the mileage that can be covered by them. You could buy this car and, with care, use it as daily transport for at least another 20 years.

I am curious to know what he will bring out of that barn if it doesn't sell, He could sell tickets to the barn as a sideline!

After being stored for so long it'll need new belts all round, new spheres, filters, possibly new tyres if the rubber's gone.Tthough admittedly sunlight does the most of the damage to tyres so they might not be that bad.

Anyway all that's £1,000 of parts&work if done at a garage, so it's probably more like £5,000.

Still, not bad for a brand new car.

Agreed. To an extent. This red TZD was a bolt from the blue, but in all fairness it was out of most BXer's 'willingness to pay' zone... Odd the French would buy a UK car.

To be fair, were any of us going to stump up that much? Mine cost less than a tenth of that. I don't think it's only a tenth as good.

It's certainly starting to look like any of us wanting to buy a really good car will have to either revise our budgets upwards or compromise on the model.

I'm not surprised it's gone to France - 2nd hand values in general are higher over there, our September trip showed that there is some interest in the model, and there are also collectors over there who specifically collect UK models.

Hi and welcome Gary to the BXC !

If you got this sort of money to spend on one ?

There was another very nice TZD you missed which which belonged to Ian Fearn which was less £'s and also in RED but unfortunately it got re-sprayed GOLD for a TV commercial

Good luck with your search !

I think that's the nail on the head.

I wouldn't want it anyway, I'd be too scared to use it!

Well Gary what brilliant timing !

If you looking for a nice RED TZD Turbo, I've just posted THIS-ONE up in the spotted section !

I sure you won't find a better one which is currently F/S but I fear you'll need a thick wallet of wonga to secure it !
