I also checked on the CAR & CLASSIC site and that confirms the same !Gumtree Ad wrote: Citroen Bx 19txd Diesel 1993 £350 London -
Sorry, this ad is no longer available.
So is the owner of 'K179 RLN' a BXC forum member ?

Re: Bx19 TXD Finchley £350 109k
This TXD (K179 RLN) seems to be still available thro' GUMTREE but now needing a new clutch so the price has been dropped to £250 !
Poor paint work, (Seller states Sun damaged) ?
Probably damaged by Aphids/honeydew being on the trees leaves its been parked under during the summer months, but it does have a full tank of Diesel (One for Ken) !

Body type 5 Door Hatchback

I am reluctant to sell this great car. Yes, the clutch has gone but I would replace it if we weren't moving to Sydney. The terrific engine has a low mileage for a diesel and it has been looked after (by a Citroen enthusiast) and starts first time. Tyres, brakes, lights, bearings, gearbox, battery all good. The suspension works fine but I have very occasionally topped it up. A recently fitted s/hand alternator charges fine (13v+) but squeals a bit.
The interior is in great condition. The Blaupunkt radio works fine. Cig lighter has power. I will throw in the tape-to-audio-jack converter (for FREE) so you can plug the iPhone or the MP3 player straight in. OK its a mature car, there are a few trivial problems ..... one glovebox hinge is broken and the indicators no longer automatically cancel. The heated rear window connection has broken off.
Outside, the body is almost perfect with a crack in the tail light which is taped and legal but the paint on the roof is sun damaged - see pic - which I never worried about. I will throw in some spares (lights, steering wheel etc) and a set of roof bars (for FREE).
It has A FULL TANK OF DIESEL worth about £75 which comes with the car (for FREE).
MOT is 27 January 2013 but it should sail through like last time. Tax is also till end of Jan 2013. There is a wallet of paper work including an early user's manual (I think) and 2 keys.
If you like the BX, there are not many good ones around now that have not been done up. This one has a low mileage and is in generally good condition. OK it needs a clutch but it has been and still is - a great car!.......and dont forget the full tank of diesel.

Probably just failure of the hopeless lacquer Citroen were using at the time. Looks just like the bonnet on my TXD!

Sorry if these pics are massive, they're from face-book.
Anyway, this car is BACK!

It was back 'In the fold' after Vince bought it from the 'Finchley' guy who emigrated to Australia
After Vince sorted out the mechanical issues he used it for a while, however he decided to put it up F/S (As he wanted to down size his fleet) heres the FOR SALE thread (Unfortunately as it was an 'Auto-trader' listing, the pictures disappear when the ad. gets pulled) !

Correct...
I should probably be less vague; they're from my face-book.

It is, minor drama on the M74 when the exhaust back box fell off (picked up a new one at National Fort William after sounding like a 17 year old for a few days) and there's now a "technique" to getting the central locking to work due to the buffoons I was with continuously slamming doors as hard as possible. Oh and that new mirror you bought is already dead after someone dropped a boat on it. Still, was more reliable than the pictured Passat!

And safe to say whoever changed that pressure regulator has made a reet balls up of it. The usual specks of fluid that appear on the drive beneath it have now turned into a puddle
