On my drive, I have a rotten 16V with a running engine that is complete, save for the front bumper and a last-of-the-line TXi injection with high miles (~160k) that is complete and starting to rot. I had plans to get them on the road, but I bit off more than I could chew and have come to terms with the fact I'm not capable or have the time to get them back on the road. My attention switched to my 1986 Rover 825i and 1989 Peugeot 205.
Both BXs run and drive; however, the suspension on the TXi is not functional as the octopus is disconnected. I abandoned the job halfway through, so it has a new Chevronics octopus, just not fully installed. The 16V's exhaust is disconnected, so it sounds like a dragster; the TXi has a suspected head gasket failure, is smokey, and needs new valve guide seals, etc. Full set of Speedlines with the 16V, albeit needing refurb.
I have a boxed new set of sills (described as full sill repair rocker panel pair) shipped over from Poland for the 16V but never opened or used.
I need these BXs gone swiftly, as my landlord is fed up with the place looking like a scrapyard.
Is there any interest from forum members in taking them off my hands? While between them, I am in a couple of grand, I am realistic in expectations and looking simply to minimise my losses as far as practicable.
