I'll be there Sunday with a few bits of trim if people want them.

Tailgate lower plastic over lock trim.
Ashtray from 16v.
Coin tray from 16v.

If anyone wants them I could bring along on Sunday a pair of non-tinted BX rear lights and a C4 washer bottle and pump. Please let me know before hand so I know to put them in the car.

If anyone has them, a top radiator cover off a 1.9 diesel or 8 valve GTi & the black plastic cover/air box that sits on top of the slightly earlier 1.9 diesel engine would be useful (that doesn't leak oil!) It's the big plastic thing with the air intake on the left & it goes to the inlet manifold. I still don't know if I'll be able to make it though; those parts that I was waiting for only came on Monday & the car still isn't together yet.

Big thanks to Rich et al for planning and executing a good show at the National.

I really enjoyed all the stats and info that came with my BX40UK mug, too!

Yeah, thanks to everyone for the organisation work! The mug & info makes a great addition to the car.

I don't think I saw you Jonathan; it’d have been nice to see you again!

I did make it to the National on Sunday, but only just! I finished getting the car running on Saturday night & topped up the diesel & LHM tanks before setting off for the national on Sunday morning, I didn't even get to test drive it beforehand!

Glad you made it. You obviously used some midnight oil too.

I once bought a prewar Riley in running order for £15 and drove it to Munich 2 days later to start a new job. Ahh those were the days

Actually I think we had a chat over the engine of Tom's GT, just I didn't fit name to face to car... Quite some work that you have been doing to your 4x4 on the other thread!

Popped by for a couple of hours Sunday afternoon.
Thanks Kitch for organising.
Slightly OT - Is Chevrons a similar event? Noticed it clashed with Simply French.

Chevrons is pretty much the same thing, just smaller. I'll be going to Simply French myself, as there's a obviously a lot more to do and it's up the road from my front door

There's also a French Day at Brooklands on 13th august which should be good.

While I've taken far too long in writing this up, hopefully, the long read (or quick flick through pictures) on the BXProjet blog will be worth it, especially if you couldn't make the event your selves.

Thanks Vanny for a superb round up of the event which I have now been able to enjoy vicariously as I was unable to attend in person due to factors beyond my control.
