For sale: Citroen 1991 BX TZD (spares or repair)

Post by Brian King »

Hello,

I'm selling my Citroen 1991 BX TZD for spares or repair.

It was involved in a 30mph shunt a few weeks ago but all indicators work and still drivable.

The photos attached show water on the ground - this was from us emptying a trailer nearby and not from the car!

I've owned it since 2006 and has a current MOT until July 2024.

Continuously maintained and recent work has included:
- New Octopus 2016.
- Alternator repaired 2022
- New water pump and timing belt 2023
- Replaced hydraulic pump 2023

Good tyres, Good Engine (starts on the button), good sunroof, good battery, good instruments, good upholstery, good heater, good windows, rises and falls well with lever.

Open to offers!

Hi Brian

What a shame, is the front slam panel bent or is it repairable.?

I wonder if Doc Chevron would be interested?
Lots of Motors, mostly semi broken....

What damage is there exactly at the front. Headlamps obviously but what is bent or damaged as well.
The Joy of BX with just one Citroën BX to my name now. Will I sing Bye Bye to my GTI or will it be Till death us do part.

Hi Tim and Jaba,

Thanks for your questions - please find my responses below:

1. The frontslam panel is bent. Bent things can be repaired though.
2. Damage at the front. The cooling fan has been been pushed onto the radiator . Won’t turn. Can’t see that there’s any loss of coolant though.

Otherwise the whole car, whilst it has the odd dent, is as it was at the MOT earlier this year.

Do let me know if you're interested?
