Really? in what way, the general consensus at the ICCCR was it was a good mix, in an ideal world we would have a TZD Turbo aswell but we dont have room.

it would be a good idea to get a BX fairly well on its side so you can see the underneath wonder if that possible Ive never tried to see how much it will lean before it falls over, unlike landrovers i know from experience exactly when they fall over

I did wonder about having a sphere that people could handle. With a big sign above it saying "this is not a bomb!" Has anyone ever sectioned a sphere?

Good idea!
We still need ideas and suggestions for the stand, also as the cars will "sit down" after a while is it possible to prop them up without doing any damage as we arent allowed to run the engines.

Re: BX Club at the NEC - we have a stand!
Good stuff.
Tim - I would have thought that stands or blocks of wood underneath the front subframe would suffice to keep a car at 'height.' Would appreciate some advice on the best place to chock the rear. I just used the towbar on the Mk1.
If an owner agrees, I'd like one car at least to be available for people to sit in AS LONG AS THEY ASK FIRST! I wouldn't recommend we use the chocked one for that purpose and any sitting-in would have to be supervised by someone on the stand.

I think its best to leave the cars locked but with the windows down, I have no problem with people sitting in the DTR as long as its supervised, I remember at the NEC 2007 finding 4 kids in the SD1, one was stood on the drivers seat pearing out of the sunroof

In my former life as a psychiatric nurse, I've sectioned a few people, but never a sphere before.!!Dollywobbler wrote:I did wonder about having a sphere that people could handle. With a big sign above it saying "this is not a bomb!" Has anyone ever sectioned a sphere?

At the " keep left " museum at the ICCCR, I noticed Len Drew's DS was supported by some fabricated metal supports. It would be interesting to know where/how he obtained them. Anyone able to contact Len to ascertain this.
