The valvers got 143K miles on the clock now, although it had 112444 when I bought it, and rebuilt it, so I've done 33K miles in 6 years in that one..

The TD had about 140K on it (I think) when I got it from Dad.
It's total is just over a million miles now.
Albeit now on engine number 4, gearbox number 5 etc etc..

I do tend to do a lot less mileage these days though..
Smokes lots, because enough's enough already!

Far too many BX's, a bus, an ambulance a few trucks, not enough time and never enough cash...

Erm, I think we have a winner! How long is that over? And why were you driving that much?

Just over 2 years with the blue box now, which for me is a long time! I\'ve always got bored easily and moved on to something else, but this one seems to be a keeper for some reason. It fulfils all my practical needs from a car (roomy, comfy, cheap to run, reliable) and I still enjoy driving it and owning something that\'s pretty rare now!

I\'ve even been commuting in it for most of those two years.

it's barely run in compared to the bus!
Oddly my oldest vehicle (the ambulance) is by far the lowest mileage wagon I have!

I've had the red shed, er, um, 12 going on 13 years, and it wasn't all that uncommon to rack up 3K miles a week at one point, I pretty much lived in it.

I've had my current Bx just over a year and still loving it 1.7 txd hatchback, maybe not that exciting to some of you but I love my Bexy :)

Previously I owned a 1.4 rendezvous from nov 1996 until april 2004 when I allowed it to go as my father in law bought us a 3 year old scenic (truly the worst car we have ever ever owned :( ) I stil miss it, memphis blue was such a fab colour as well, and from new it was my mum's and then my sisters before mine so I knew all the history.

I started out way back in '89 with a 14Leader, talk about basic but got me hooked. Went on to buy a 14RE and have currently had my '94 19TXD for last 7 years and I only paid £400 for the Titanic which still flies through the MOT devil every year. Worst I've had to do to her is replace the rear suspension bearings to get a pass. Just recently had to do my biggest job which was the clutch but could almost do it blind fold now as I had to have the gearbox off three times before figuring out the clutch arm had come away from the plastic cup that holds it on!! Doh!
Wouldn't swap her for anything.
