Stunning! ........Petrol verses Diesel???

Answer. if this had been a diesel it would have been here as ''look at my new car'' rather then ''BX spotting antybody interested''

Indeed! It's gorgeous. As a petrol I still think it's a rare opportunity and a bargain. That interior looks like a low miler to me. High mileage cars can be 'spotless' but they still look like they've been round the block a few times - that doesn't.

That's a load of bollocks surely?! While it sounds funky, 31 secs 0-60  and wine and picnic stuff?? Really.

I'd like a BX11 just for fun!

I had an automatic Mini once that did 0-60 in 29 seconds coupled with the jerkyiest of gear changes, it was no fun I can tell you

Don't diss the 1.6... Yes it's not a diesel, but I still get about 40-45mpg on UL (currently experimenting on super and it's looking good), it's ruthlessly simple, can still clock massive mileages, makes an incredible sound up to 2000rpm, and still seriously moves if you tell it to. Not a complete convert yet, but I'm by no means unhappy with mine.

I drove a manual carb-fed 16 once and was relieved (if that's the word) that it appeared as you say to be relatively frugal and on the whole a decent drive. I reckon the 16 is much-maligned.

I had a 16 TGS auto. That was a slightly different tale re: economy and performance.

Amen to that, the 1.6 is a lovely willing engine, despite its issues I certainly am not complaining about the lump in my meteor.
If I had the cash that estate would be on my driveway by now.
