Probably not - remove any water from the cylinders - drain / replace fluids and give it a try.Engine presumably wrecked so probably not worth trying to repair

However you'd need the speed of the starter to throw enough out otherwise there'd still be a lot left (unless of course you used a pipet to suck the rest out).Defender110 wrote: Would be if hand cranked.

Hi
A diesel engine will not stop in with the exhaust in water, the exhaust pressure is to high.
You should only drive through deeper water at engine idle or just over idle speed speed and slowly.
If you do this end your engine hydraulic locks it might survive. Removing the glow plugs will work fine and is worth a try but I am 95% sure you engine will have damage if you where reeving it (bent or broken con rod).
