1992 1.7 TZD (Turbo) RED Hatchback For Sale (E-Bay)

Hi I am the person that is selling the car on behalf of my father in law, to put the record straight I AM NOT TRYING TO WING IT as some of your members has suggested, I believe I am a honest working person who does not take people for a ride etc. This car is genuine with all it's bumps and scratches etc. My father in law has been the only owner of this car. They have been on holidays to Ireland etc, and not just driven on short journeys. Since my father in law as had his heart attack he does not feel confident to drive any more, so he is selling it. So please do not judge people on a single comment, ( judging a book by the cover springs to mind) There is a buy now of £800.00 and this money is going to his grand children ( my two sons ). We would like it go to someone who will appreciate the car like my father in law did. Yes there is very little history but there is a full service book, which has all the stamps from Duff Morgan of Norwich who I am sure could vouch for this car, any thing that needed doing mechanically was done. My father in law was not the one to keep paperwork unfortunately, however any inspection is welcome. we don't have anything to hide. Please see ebay for further details.

I didn't read it as though anybody was suggesting you were taking people for a ride - in fact it has been pointed out that you are being honest about it. I did however misunderstand this comment

History of the vehicle: the only paperwork that my Father in Law has: the fully service history book with every stamp, which has been by the Citroen dealership Duff Morgan. all tax disc's , and the last two mot's. My father in law unfortunately, does not know where they are.

as meaning he didn't know where ANY of the history, MOTs or tax discs were. So it may be worth clarifying this on eBay.

Some pictures of the inner wings from under the bonnet, and the bottom of the C pillars may help to sell it assuming these areas aren't rusty as they often are. It's something any knowledgeable buyer would want to see anyway. Good luck.

We have gone though all the paperwork he has got, we have service history book tax discs however there seems to be no bill of repairs etc. I was going to? if time to get a print off from Duff Morgan ( if that was/is possible) to give to the buyer, However I am self employed and very very busy at present, but if the car is still her Monday I will try and sort

Open the rear doors, take a shot of the wheelarch that you can now see. A pillar is where the front door hinges are, B pillar the one between the doors, C pillar the rear edge of the rear door shut.

I think the estimates quoted for repairing the rust around the windscreen are way too low. To get that done properly so that it isn't going to start coming back in 2 or 3 years must be at the very least £500 plus the screen.
If it's like that on the outside which could have so easily been delayed with a bit of paint/rust eater there will certainly not have been any peventative maintenance carried out anywhere else!

Dont forget this car was owned by a gentleman in his senior years, obviously the garage that serviced the car failed to advise him properly regarding thr rust.

These areas /\ all look solid, its just a bit of a shame the top of 'A' post to adjacent to the windscreen weren't in the same sort of condition

After dialogue with Gary yesterday evening I can assure folks that this a genuine sale and there's nothing he's hiding and welcomes anyone to have a good look at the TZD if your considering in purchasing it !
