Autobox oil dipstick: Where can i find?

My box doesn't engage reverse gear. That's my main big problem
I think i'ts better trying the basics, checking the oil level and changing the old, 2,5 L that can be dropped.
I have like, 10% of hope that reverse gear isn't broken - Changing oil and washing the filter being enough for fixing it.

Thats interesting to know. I didnt realise there was a filter in the gearbox. How do you get at it?

Auto's have strainer filters on the oil pick up inside the actual gearbox sump, removal of the sump pan is required.

So, if i buy a standard dipstick, cut to make it stay with 48 cm of lenght, grind marks representing the little spheres of the old one...It could work? Thinking every day about it

Dipstick from BX16TRS auto with 171c engine.

Overall length being similar, the question is whether the dip length to the first ball is the same and spacing to second. If so, a bit of welding rod or similar could be used to check oil levels.

Is about the distance between the balls or the end of the stick to center of the second ball? I'm confused...

Anyway, i will try a cheap stick about 47 cm and make markings as says the first and second ball measures, counting as the balls have 2 mm radius
