The manifolds are different but I'm fairly sure the downpipes and joint are the same

I've a feeling that the manifold length is different, hence the downpipe length is different, and the exhaust pipe diameter was larger for the later engine.

I know for sure that the Exhaust from the mk1 17rd square-port was no good to me at all, as the manifold-pipe join was in an obviously different place to any other diesel BX I've seen.
