Re: BX Club at the NEC - Stand discussion
Our esteemed* leader Mr M Fenwick has suggested a meal Saturday night, which sounds like a nice idea. Could be quite the party though - we may have to consider booking somewhere so we can all get seated together?
Of course, the numbers attending will not be fixed until we're all sat down eating starters (and that's not BXC herding cats syndrome, that's Bistromathics), but at least a table will be booked with approximately the right number of chairs and eating irons.
Thoughts?

Cake and fizzy drink 1100 Sunday then..... I deliberately chose a time that WOULD cause a mutiny... old ploy learnt in the Ministry of Defence.

Re: BX Club at the NEC - Stand discussion
As I said, I can only do Saturday and 3pm would be good. I didn't see a mutiny!
I can't do a Saturday night meal as I won't be there but agree you should all have a nice outing. If we do something with the smaller group on the Thursday too that'll be nice. I should probably spend some time with the people putting me up for the few days on the Friday night...
No shortage of places to eat out in that area. Suggest heading towards Coventry for cheaper offerings. Went to a nice all-you-can-eat Chinese with the 2CV lot last year - and I don't even like Chinese!

I'm getting really seriously pissed off and this is beginning to spoil it for me! Will some one take charge and give me the final decision on cake and fizz time.....

3pm Saturday, as previously agreed. I don't believe there were any objections to that (apart from one...

Re: BX Club at the NEC - Stand discussion
I only suggested 11 am Sun as an alternative if Sat was unpopular - like you Eoin, I'm there all weekend so have no vested interest.
I haven't seen any open mutiny, however, as Ian pretty much kicked all this off by acquiring the stand in the first place, I'd say go with his suggestion of 1500 Sat, "done deal" - and do the kiddy party thing of wrapping some slices in serviettes for the Sunday folks. Or possibly plastic bags may be more hygienic.

Did Vanny mention he had a BX parasol at one time? just thinking we could use it.
