I think a seatbelt is there to stop you flying through the screen if you crash Tim

Side bolsters are there to hold you in place! The leather seats don't do that....they just look and smell cool 8) For hoonage, you need valver seats - especially with the amount a BX rolls in the bends!

The car is now off the road for the winter... Will hopefully stop it deteriorating on the UKs salted roads. Currently running around in an ex-banger rally (It's been on 3 actually  ) Audi Coupe. Better than the BX in two respects - Build quality and the wheels. In every other way, the BX is a much better car.

Also if I want a new back light it will be £50. After running Citroens for 2 years, paying that for a light is almost unthinkable

Here it is:

I like the look of that Audi, is it the 5 cylinder version?

1.8 four pot I think from what I've seen on AR Online. I'd love a 5-pot non-quattro.

Yep... it's the 1.8 4-cylinder GT. Depends on the weather, but should be sorting out a couple of scabs on it this weekend.

I'd probably be keeping it if it was a 5-pot... I'd love one too, although I'd probably go for the quattro. Was actually considering the later shape S2, as a replacement for the 16v... But they can cost an arm and a leg to fix, if you can find the parts.

And then I thought... How could I ever sell my BX

Fitted a new steering wheel on Saturday... I'm not sure the purists out there will like this, but it's from a TVR, and it doesn't make your hands smell funny like the last one did

There is a centre cap for the wheel, which just needs a little tinkering before it goes in.

IMO the best aftermarket wheel money can buy :)

I'm slightly curious as to why the old one made your hands smell funny...?

I dunno really... Must've been contaminated by some kind of oil/diesel/fag smell that just wouldn't go away. I tried everything to clean it, but the smell always came back after a few days.

Thought I'd try some different back lights... I quite like 'em!

As you can see, I must be in the only place not hit by any snow. Yet people still manage to crash... And if anyone on here actively thinks that driving with either no light or sidelights is a good idea, I would love to hear why you think that.

Each to their own, I've always changed those for the dark grey tinted clusters.

If individuality is what you want, this 'hybrid' (taking into account the very late Citroen badging too) is fine. Not my cuppa, but heck, what does that matter. How is the car driving these days? must say it looks really tidy. Is that a Scorpion tail?
