How strange

Last time I logged on, the pictures of this car were there, now they're gone
They think it's all over, it is now!

Welcome to the club Sue. :D

Hopefully thats just surface dust and there's some nice paintwork under it!

Will your Dad be working on the mechanics of the car or have you joined us to learn how to DIY it yourself? :D

Looking good, amazing the difference a wash can make, at least for initial impressions!

umm , I will have to learn somethings ,

I did do the oil and water and even the tyre pressure on the corsa oh and the widscreen washer bottle.

Well I would have looked silly driving all the way to sussex everytime the windscreen washer bottle needed topping up wouldent I.

1st extra thing to learn is checking (& not neglecting) the LHM level along with those other checks. :D

Well she certainly 'stands to attention' so I assume there're no catastrophic leaks from the hydraulics. Be aware this is pre-Phase 2 (ie pre- Mark 2 faclift) so would not have had, originally, plastic-covered pipes. So corrosion could be an issue. Unless they've all been replaced, they soon will need doing I reckon. The words 'borrowed' and 'time' come to mind :)

And there are still plenty of panels available, so you should be able to get the body sorted (via a helpful dad/specialist/bodyshop)...

Looks kinda sweet, doesn't she? Nice colour.

lol , I got confused over it having two windscreen washer bottles ,

lhm is that the green stuff that goes in the thing that looks like a green beer barrel with a plastic cap ?

yes that was replaced when dad sorted the leak but he did tell me to keep an eye on it, its got a little measure thing on top that shows you the level so it dosent look too difficult.
somebody painted some sort of oil all over the pipes when it was put in the barn and the mot guy said they were ok (for now) dad said thers some comfier pipes or something that you can get put on that last longer .
He will probably look over ir again next time im down there
