He said it drove very well (it sounded very sweet too) but as you imagine the A/C didnt work. The paint was tottally flat and needed a bit of tidying up inside and out. He also mentioned he had a BX diesel back home in denmark.

Tim your white GT looks brilliant! Any chance you can tidy my car up a bit next time you're down? :D

Tim's car is beige. Or is it Ivory... or cream?

I would say its a cream more than a beige as it was parked next to mint "79 GS with only 19k miles on it which was definatly more "beigey", The paint I think is called "blanc creme" according to our paintshop.

It's cream, which falls into the category of white :) looks brilliant though, excellent for the age. Seriously Tim I need your car cleaning skills!

The Gt has had some new paint, dents removed, the wheels refurbed and has only done 52k from new and always been cared for hence its condition. A professional valet will only do so much as general wear and tear and how many miles and hows its been used will be a big factor.

T'was me!

I came up with Jon Clewer in that gloriously sheddy '81 Dyane:

First time out after 15 years in various barns, gardens etc....clutch, tyres, MOT.....then a 300m round trip in the rain, never missed a beat.

I wish I'd bought my (even sheddier) BX up as well now....

I too Enjoyed the my day there. I was impressed with the both the number and quality of bx's and other models. There were some models you don't see every weekend (at least not in Denmark. Yes, I'm the Danish chap). It was very nice to meet some of you and we'll probably meet again over the summer.

A small correction though Tim, I do not have another BX back in Denmark, it's a '87 CX prestige. CX's has been my primary interest and the car that really hooked me. I had a '88 16v a couple of years ago though :)

Regarding my TZD Tim's description is quite accurate, not the best looker but drives very well indeed. I will shine it up a bit, sort out a few electric faults, get a quote on the aircon (if I feel extra courageous one day) but as I'm a student there's not that much money so we'll see.

Congratulations Tim. Hope this goes some way to justify the faith you've shown in this car and the effort put in it to get it to this standard!

You keep polishing mate! It's wonderful to see cars turned out in this condition.

Had a great time, went up in convoy with Dean, Tim was only a couple of mins behind by the time we parked up. Some ace cars as usual, that wicked cx was probably my fave, but then again if you can afford to spend £9k on just the engine it had better be a good un

Tim, your's was looking typically great & the trophy was well deserved, it can only add more interest in this model for the future so i salute you sir.

Great to natter with the usual suspects, Dean (cheers for them pies :D ) Tim, Owen, Ken, Dave, Shaun, Aerodynamica. Good to meet Bexy, RxBx & Kromer, erm sorry if i've forgotten anyone, make yourselves known

Weather wasnt too bad in the end, a bit of rain now & again, & the sun poking its head out of the clouds occasionally, but i was bloody frozen  Thank god i'd bought my flask.

No bits purchased this time, but i did get a lanyard which i wore to work today, a t-shirt, a work shirt for a bargain £2  & a 2cv fridge magnet.

Dunno about anyone else, but when i looked inside my goody bag when i got home, i couldnt stop laughing  WTF, toothpaste, loads of leaflets of an area which aint exactly local & some tobacco pouch thing, well i dont smoke either  Erm, i think the ccc must try a bit harder on that front, i'm not expecting anything fancy, but how about some vouchers off gsf or some more sample sachets of motoring products (there was a nice autoglym one in the pack), oh well, perhaps i'll get a mug at the next show :D
