James yours would shine up like that if you wanted too, the ST Tropez was in a far worse state than your TZD when I got it.

The mythical beast is out of action at the moment for frustrating insurance reasons.

I WILL get pictures up but it may take some time as I'm transportless and at the same time I'm trying to sort my other BX out.

An update on the "tesco value" BX (as its white with a blue stripe), contrary to some peoples belief I do value the on mechanical bits and not just polishing etc, Ive had a new dropink fitted to cure the "knock" and a return pipe to cure the LHM leak and all is well.

Next on the list is to sort out the boot floor and drivers side inner wing which is in need of some welding which is due to be carried out next month ready for MOT time.

Welding done and the MOT passed with a couple of advisories, she will soon be heading off to a new home in Chelmsford

Who are you calling a hair dresser.

I'm Matt Concannon, new owner of the St Tropez which joins my fleet of currently dead or dying cars.

As this is my first BX, I may well be pestering the lot of you for help and advice.

As far as I know so far it needs the fuel filler fixing and maybe a tune up as its a bit fluffy on light throttle openings. Again any advice on this as I am a total BX virgin lol.

Why is there a Bar-b-que grill bolted to the inside of the bonnet?

I did notice something had leaked onto the road underneath overnight, so i'll investigate.

Overall though its a very nice car, I just wish I could see it in daylight.

Welcome aboard, Matt. That little calling card stain is most likely the small LHM drip. Best get someone to get it up on a ramp and try to locate it. It's from a return pipe somewhere.

Don't worry; they all do it!

Enjoy the BXperience.

Hi Matt it could maybe do with the plugs changing etc, the emissions were fine when it was MOTed, so much so it may be running a wee bit lean, seems alot better when up to temp though! Theres two positions for the air intake pipe under the bonnet, still think its set to summer.

As phil says it has a small LHM leak, which I think is a return pipe weeping.
