Well shes all ready for the ICCCR, just a quick rub over with an oil rag and were off!

Theres some imperfections in the paint, which Im rather pissed off about but it will do for now.

Thanks Martin, I have to say im very proud of her, cant wait to get a photo of the DTR and GT side by side now they are both "up to scratch!.

That is indeed my garage...the one next to it isnt officially mine, but I have use of it, the SD1 is living in there at the moment.

Seems I cant keep out of this one, keep wheeling out the garage to put yet another coat of super resin on it , any local trips to friends and family see the Golf left at home and the DTR being used (after I check the weather forecast of course).

All seems well, I need to fit the new throttle cable and fix the stuck trip meter, and need a pair of interior light switches (anyone got any), but overall im delighted!!!

At the ICCCCR I got to meet Richard and Sheila Green who owned DYA from 88-2011, Mrs Green was rather emotional bless her as it was her car and the kids learned to drive in it etc.

Tim, if you mean the switches in the Sunroof switch panel and they are the same as a mk2 I have a pair you can have

Thanks Mick, its the actual interior light switches (turns the courtesy lights on and off) which are on each door post I need, as ones busted and the other needs a tweak to get it to do anything!

Thats a great story Tim, if only it had been looked after a bit better, it would still be sat on their drive, i bet they couldn't believe the transformation :)
