Crashed BX pics???

Those two mopeds lying there are 'Schwalben' (swallows) from the former East Germany. I've just been given a yellow one which is complete and running - two stroke oil burning style - maybe hit the highway next year.. or the year after etc. ( join the wrecks in the barn)

All those BX pics show just how many of them were made. I share in the general lament : what a waste of a load of good parts!

That burnt on in M20 services shows which pieces were made of plastic.

Am I the only one with a really strong desire to start up one of the scrap BXs with another car on the roof, just to see if it'll rise up...

They do! There was one in a scrapyard down in Gloucester I used to frequent - a 40k mile 19TRS. I was interested in the engine so got the key for it and brought a battery along. Started and rose no problems.

is it just the camera angle, or is the sunroof on that one above way too far back in the roof?
Or, more precisely, the hole where the sunroof used to be..

Indeed, an asian taxi driver (in an Avensis) pulled out in front of him, the 16v was a write off and got broken sadly.
