Love the first shot - Look all those BXs' for sale....

16v cars in garage owners in HMP? Could be?.

Looks like a good trip. My old 14 went to Ayrshire a few times to the Kirkmichael International Guitar festival. Great fun and brilliant roads in places even saw 95+ on a single track one at one point. Don't remember diving ditch wise, but did see one vehicle stuck in said position. Unable to tow it out even the ditch was so deep, absolute middle of nowhere in the massive forest south of Kirkmichael.

Well, I had an absolutely brilliant time. The weather wasn't entirely on our side - but then it was a brilliant sunny day at the DSM on Sunday and I got sunstroke, so I'm not sure what 'weather on my side' would be exactly. From an organisational point of view it was sometimes a bit like watching Nelson change his duvet cover to the music from The Benny Hill Show, but all things being equal . . . truly memorable. Pictures to follow when I get them sorted (there's loads).

Finally got round to sorting my CCCE pics - there were a lot. Here's the interesting ones of cars and people. All the majestic highland scenery ones that seemed like a good idea at the time look a bit boring now.

That's it. Actually I found a few more on my phone from the beginning of the holiday. All in all a bit wet but brilliant. :D

Cracking good pics, Paul. Who'd have thought Scotland in June would be quite so unremittingly grey and damp? In fact, who'd have thought most of the Northern Hemisphere would be like that? A notable lack of red BXs has added a certain monochromatic look to the pics as well. Must pack one next time.

EDIT: #-o They are there after all. Possibly a bit shy then?

Great time - there would have been more postings at the time if we'd managed any kind of reliable signal up there.

I'll add my own pics as soon as I get a chance but in the meantime some outstanding memories include:

Discovering the Speybridge caravan site was at least 30 miles from Speybridge!
Sticker hunting.
Fantastic scenery.
Watching Tim's GT gracefully tip itself into a ditch, then just as gracefully right itself again once he selected high.
The usual socialising in the evenings, during roadside brewups and the occasional coffee shop.
The look on everyones faces when some of us tried to buy tickets for the steam train at Aveimore only to be told we'd have to wait 2 days to use them.
