Finally sent the car (B253WAV) to the bodyshop to get the rust on the doors sorted
The guy replaced the bottom of 3 doors which were quite bad and just cleaned up the better one.
Before
After
Before
After
New door bottoms
The front passenger door was just filled I think but still a good job
The car is different shades of red now but it'll probably get a full re-spray next year - when funds are good

Looks great! A good machine polish should bring the rest of the car up well, looks much better without those alloys, originally the steel wheeks should be silver.

Wow, it's so red, and so shiny - simply stunning! From where i'm sat that looks like a fantastic job, one to cherish methinks. Almost makes me wish my GT wasn't romantic blue, the colour has grown on me and I do like it, but shiny red will always be my favourite car colour.
Now to finish it off, and get that 'just rolled out of showroom' look, get some shiny black stuff on them tyres and spruce the wheel trims up!

Looks absolutely gorgeous and get's me even more excited about what my St Tropez's going to look like when she comes out of the paintshop this week.
@Tom - Red is a lovely colour for a car when it's all shiny and polished but is probably requires the most intensive care to keep it there. I autoglymed my MX3 last week and after all the rain and associated crap over the weekend it looks like it needs another polish.

Looks lovely, as Tom's mentioned, just need those scruffy (in comparison
) wheel trims re-doing & it will look ace

Thanks for the comments guys
Those wheel trims do let it down now! What would be the best way to clean them up? And Tom whats that shiny stuff that goes on the tyres? Can't wait to see your car when its done Des

Probably best to get the wheel trims re-painted to match the fantastic paint job on your car. Tyre shine, its just like a moose/foam that you spray onto the outside of the tyre & then you just wipe it over with a rag & it makes the rubber go black & shiny, just like a new tyre
Most people use them at car shows to make the whole car look brand new looking.

Thanks Mulley, I'll have to get me some of that stuff! Maybe I should get those trims re-painted too.
Chris, wow it does look just like it, a lovely deep red
If you don't mind me asking, what was the reg? Its not clear but was it a B?
Do you know what happened to it or where it went?

At the All-Ireland CCC Rally in Londonderry last weekend. It was the only BX present
At Halliday-Citroën, Campsie
Myself, dad and uncle
Ebrington Square, Londonderry
A lovely line-up of Citroëns
Waiting for Lough Foyle ferry
Beside two immaculate Citroëns: Roger Porters XM and Frank Bergins CX.
She did 900 miles round trip without skipping a beat (burned a small bit of oil alright), very happy with her
