Your car really stood out in that line up, it was the shiniest & brightest, well done, you must be well pleased :)

Yup, hard not to stand out in a crowd with a BX, and even harder when it's that shade of red and just had a respray. Surprised the other CCC owners didn't just give up and go home. It looks like the sun decided it couldn't compete!

She did stand out a bit alright, being the brightest colour there  Now I just have to keep her that way - needs another clean and wax now though after the journey home. Even though the sun didn't shine much it didn't stop us enjoying the weekend!

Hi Kieran,

Really good to meet you, your Dad and Mick and, of course, the very bright BX!

Guys, it really is that shiney in real life and the rear door shuts are very well done.

Hope to catch you at next year's rally if not before!

Roger
P.S. my XM does look rather nice there doesn't it :)

Hi Roger,

It was great to meet and talk to you too :) We thoroughly enjoyed the weekend.

Your XM did look lovely. Looking forward to next year and seeing the car again, or maybe the Visa

If not before, see you then!

Kieran

What a top job job! Good photos too. I like what you did with the ferry shot. Cheers!

Thanks, although I must admit that someone else took and altered that photo! It is cool though :)

Mike Sims visited with Timex today. It was great to meet him and see Timex in the flesh! I learned some interesting things from him, such as where to find various date stamps on the car. Thanks Mike :) He might even have learned one or two things from me...well, my cars more like! Its interesting to see the cross-over of parts between late mark 1s and early mark 2s.

Yep, 10,000m in it so far, despite a couple of unscheduled layups this year!

Haven't updated this in a long time...

Busy last weekend changing the cam belt, water pump, tensioner, idler and cam seal on the 19RD, getting her ready for a vintage charity run this weekend and the All-Ireland CCC rally in three weeks time :D

Access was fairly tight!

Haha I know Tim, you have said before  Been meaning to do it.
Ordered silver paint on Ebay a year ago, never came and just haven't got around to sorting them.
I will though, at some point! I know they let the car down!

Cheers Stephen :)
