Yes it was a 19TRI later a 19TZi which was a GTi 8v estate. Rare car now but not as rare as this...

I'd just like to add my signature to the 'save the TRS Estate' campaign. Read my lips; do NOT scrap that car! Someone must have a hundred quid and a strip of drive to park it?

I've got a way of getting it home, but no use for it other than to build a 16v estate!

I've got a garage, thr £100 and the way of getting it home, but nothing to do with it. If it hit my buttons more i'd have thought about buying it to replace the TXD later on in the year. But, I just don't think estate BX's do it for me. Unless I turned it into a GT estate with MK1 wings etc? Hmmm.

On hindsight I prefer the sound of a 16v estate. I already have a GT and it looks nicer than an estate in my books. I do hope someone takes it though? I'd hate to have to hold it for someone on here...

Dammit, what have I always said about performance estates?! If you do half as good a job on it as that M3 estate I'll be listing a kidney on eBay!

It'd be a lot easier than that M3 one, but it's a question of time really.

edit: That car does look bloody lovely though! I'd love it as a daily but I don't really have the room, and truth be told the BX project I took on hasn't exactly gone......well!

Buggeration! I would really like that, if anyone wants to take it on and then sell it forward at the end of April for a small consideration let me know.

If however someone really wants it and will return it to the road then feel free but I would hate to see it broken.

Damn - if I had put the Land Rover on the road instead of getting Timex I could have collected it next week and delivered it to whoever wanted it  Oh well, still don't regret Timex, but I'm willing to help all I can to rescue this if possible.

Can't see me putting it on the road myself unfortunately as Timex is cheaper to run, I can't justify 2 BX estates and I wouldn't feel able to use this estate the way I use mine.

I'm in the middle of moving a couple of vehicles to a cheaper storage area at the moment, but in the meantime I have a spare space a few miles from me if we can get it there. I don't know how much money he'll want, but I also know someone with a Transit beavertail who may be able to shift it aswell.

Wonder if there are any pictures of the areas that normally rust? Sills, inner wings, A-pillars etc?

2.1t/d engine/box would fit? mmm...thinks...but just cant swallow the transport costs, and wouldnt want to tow it (trailer add bx estate 1700kg) tho the tzdt would pull it i dont think mr traffic cop or mr vosa would approve, A- frame is another option providing the the suspension system is ok, plus 270 mile round trip. could be a costly venture.
