The tab to release the rear seats should look like the one on the right of this picture, and there should be one on the other side as well. Yes the strap to lift the bases up should be in the footwells where the rear passengers calf muscles would touch the seat, and just lift them straight up, don't try and pull them toward the front seat.

yeah, engine turns. (new starter) but haven't managed to get it to cough into life yet.
is rotton top and bottom N/S of front screen, and passenger door has fallen off. (well, only 1 hinge is intact, the check strap and top hing has gone.)

So car will be being broken. I'm sure you guys would be okay, but i don't want to put it on ebay and spend 30 quid listing it twice because the winner says he didn't realise it was that rough etc.
I prefer to have lots of happy (I hope) people that will get much needed bx parts.

Ah fair enough, I would be interested in the steel wheel if its the correct one for the alloy wheel bolts or just one the anthracite alloys to complete my set.

my alloys are just silver. :?
the steel, what makes it the one for alloy wheel nuts, the metal inserts on the wheel?

Ah my bad, it looked like a mix of silver and anthracite but yes the metal inserts on the steel mean that the bolts for the alloys don't bottom out when fitted.

That screen rot looks better than mine! :(

This car is now in pieces. I picked up some bits from it yesterday.

To be fair to Elliot I think he did the right thing at the time, and as I said to him, in 5-10 years they'll probably have put on enough value to make restorations worthwhile, but it was pretty rotten. It would have needed serious welding, a complete repipe, and even then it wouldn't necessarily have been a good one. I'd love to be in a position to save and restore cars like this but I'm not, and I don't think many of us are either...

I was wondering whether you possibly still had the radiator cowling from the 16V – its one of the last pieces needed to complete the 16V BX Van.
