Thanks hun, have put as event on FB CCC and BXC pages, I know you and others wouldn't see it though. It'll be in CCC mag as well I'm sure.

Thats excellent news, I think that avoiding a clash with drive it day will help the event continue to grow. Im certainly planning the long trip there in my Xantia.

It seems I will have my GT drivable for the X rally! I even have that day free, i'm a bit nervous about a 400 mile round trip in a car that has been off the road for over 10 years though! What do people think? I will get some breakdown cover of course.

You're going to have a hiccup at some point unless you overhaul 90% of the car. Just keep the breakdown cover ready and hope it happens near home, or at the very least on the way back!

That all said, The Estate went years and years off the road and just got chucked back on, no questions asked. Likewise a 106 Rallye I had, which went about 4 years and just got back on. You never know, but doesn't hurt to be prepared
