As always Vanny an interesting read about doing your best to save a BX from la casse. The time involved is daunting and the care you exercised is impressive.

You are up for the award of BX angle grinder of the year

I simply couldn't put it off any longer. Time to put on my big boy pants and fire up the grinder. The day had come for the Big Cut. And after all the build-up, it could have gone better!

Citroën BX – XPO – Welding in the repair panel – Eps23

The latest episode of 'fabricating a Citroen BX out of rusty panels' has arrived, for those that are into that sort of thing. So very nearly time for paint!

Citroën BX – XPO – Wheel Arch Repair – Eps24

Just when I thought I was done with welding, I realised I had best tackle the wheel arch repair before committing to paint.

With the welding finally finished, attention turns to painting the A-pillar. This several-month stage doesn't end well!

Yep, I bet that was gutting. I do envy your attention to detail Vanny - such meticulous care with that seam sealer. Are you of the engineering persuasion professioanlly?

My day job involves cars and laptops. The BX is like an antidote to sitting at a screen all day. I'm certainly no expert at this car mending thing, just trying my damnedest to do it right. Ideally first time 🤣

In the previous article, the repairs on XPO were finally completed and repainted. However, I soon find I'm unpainting the A-pillar 😭
