My buyer seems to have dropped out of buying my car. If you are interested - if it is to be re-llisted, it would happen on the 12th August.
If I find out how to upload photos, I will add some then.

I had several reports of "definitely" a certain problem. It appears that Rob (Chevronics) gave the answer - however, as he said it would involve some labour to prove - no, i have not had it concerned. he did say that it was not likely to cause serious problems, which is why we left it!
Any buyer who is happy to tinker ought be able to fix it, and the rest of the car has another 100 thousand miles in it, once sorted. I just wanted a newer, family oriented car - but then decided to get another cheap car and get a new kitchen!!!! WWaited 20 years for that, so the horrible looking, not my style car has to wait!
So, must get back to my business to make the money to get it!
So that was perhaps why the sale fell through before?
My old Meteor was a cosmetic right-off, but the rules must have changed since then as I didn't need to get the car checked afterwards - just took the money and went to Portugal for a while.

Dodgy dodgy,
The car was written off and you failed to mention this in the original listing, you state your garage don't know what the engine noise is when they have diagnosed a piston ring?
''he did say that it was not likely to cause serious problems'' ??
A broken piston ring eating away at the cylinder bore is not a serious problem then?
Youve been paid out by the insurance for a write off and now your trying to rip somebody off by selling the car as road legal and not mentioning it was written off?
It's a 17 year old car that has been, written off, needs collision damage fixing and has a knackered engine! are you for real?Shame on you!

Well said - I'm fed up with being treated like a mug - that red tzd I went to look at last week was listed as in mint condition - yeah maybe like a polo mint with the rust in the sills and door pillars and the guy said, "you won't believe me, but the abs light has just come on and it's never done that before".

Richard.
Sorry Richard I'm sure I read in the UPDATE about it being stolen but I must be cracking up as all I can find now is ''I needed to get a VIC - due to the car being written off as uneconomic to repair when it was last hit.''
Written off not stolen recovered! My original post Richard read has now been edited to show written off not stolen recovered but i'm afraid still very naughty IMHO originally trying to sell a write off without letting on.

So not only did you give a politicians reply and not actually answer the question, you're now trying to offload a reviously 'Cat' registered car you forgot to mention first time round?
There is nothing much wrong with my car. It is in very good condition as my garage specialiset said. he may have told another BX enthusiast what the problem is - but he has never told me. I prefer not to second guess what everyone says. I drove it to Peterborough for its belated VIC this morning and it drove really well, very responsive - more than the car i replaced it with.
You can believe what you like but i have offered a view and test drive - make your own mind up and stop jumping to idiotic conclusions. The first write off was quoted as £900 to repair against a value of £300. I got less than £300 and paid the £900 to repair it. The write off recenlly I only did the minumum repair because a) i was not paid enough to cover a good repair and b) i didn;t want to keep throwing big amounts of money on a car only valued at £250! Any more moans? Check it out yourselves!
