Needs rear arm bearing but other than that sound ok.

Spotted this there as well. Anything to do with you Richard? Be interesting to see what such an ad turns ups? Why '82-'89 only - why not the later years too?

Not really. My Dad used to be the Chairman of the Northern section CCC when i was a kid. I was brought up with him running DS and my Mother running a Bijou then a succession of DYane/2cv,s ,CX ,XM etc. My 1st car was a 2cv then i moved on th GS/GSA and for many years was active in CCC rescuing dying flat 4,s.Then i just fell out with French cars for a while.I ran several Bx,Ax,Zsara,Xantia,Zx etc just as transport then got the bug back for Citroens again after rescuing the 14RE from the scrappers(Raggers old car). After driving it home it just felt so right to be back in an old Citroen .
Glad to be back,Richard.

I think I may know of the guy in N.Ireland you're talking about.

I know he has at least 2 Mk1s sitting in a field. One is a C reg 19 GT that doesn't look as if it would take too much to get it back on the road - I'm after it :P

Looks a nice motor, worth saving if you can do the arm bearings for sensible money.

Hello everyone, I can confirm that the BX is not too bad, but has been a work horse on dump runs and towing a car trailer (which it did OK, but the naturally aspirated diesel is not the ideal for even moderate progress).

It would however be better going to an enthusiast, if you get my meaning? 8) Don't be afraid to drop a mail I don't bite and it'll only sit around otherwise. Too many other things to do before that one, I'm not really a Citroen man (sorry chaps  ), but Richard suggested I post it on here so I'm happy to do that
