Right then, I've now got somewhere between 1500 and 2000 miles on the new rad and hoses with no problems at all, including monday morning M25 gridlock, heavily loaded motorway, towing, and carting lots of building materials around (all of that with non-functioning fans...).
And I've just had price info from the factory, so orders are open.
They're going to do me a special price for the first batch, before they later go on Ebay etc for a bit more (the GTi rads from the same firm are £189 at the moment, normally £199, I expect these will be about the same). So I'll be collecting orders (and dosh) in the next few days before passing them on.So for those who've expressed an interest, please don't hang about as I'd like to get the order sorted out ASAP. PM me to confirm interest along with full name and address, plus mobile and/or daytime phone number, and I'll reply with Paypal or bank details, whichever you prefer.
These are hand-made, all-aluminium, tig-welded radiators with a 50mm core for greater cooling capacity.
Prices including shipping to the UK direct from the factory to your address are:
Radiator: £155.
Hose kit (top, bottom and filter cooler hoses): £60. Choice of colours: red, blue or black.
Radiator and hoses shipped together: £195
Please note this doesn't include any import duty. I don't think there'll be any to pay within the UK, but when I was sent the first two in France I got stung for 50 euros duty on the whole lot. Quite a common occurrence over here... (
