How to Post Pics on this Forum

Having never used this facility before and being bit of a computer dummy can someone tell me how to get photos on to here, i've already uploaded the photos, just cant work out to to move them from there! duh.....

Highlight and copy and then paste onto this forum the code for your chosen
picture that is highlighted in blue in either of the equivalent screen shots
below:

OVERVIEW SCREEN OPTION

OR

SPECIFIC CLICKED TO VIEW SINGLE PICTURE BIGGER OPTION

which ends up showing up on this forum as:

It's a question that every other new member asks and while it's a good question - it's not immediately obvious if you've never used a forum before - it does get annoying for the long-termers to be asked this all the time. Jonathan's explanation is one of the clearest I've seen, too - good work!

I do still have the GSA Roger, but I'm keeping it now!

By the way nice interior shot i had forgotten how much more stylish the MK1 interior was nice lines.

It's a CX I think

I love the lines if the Mk 1 BX too, but - if anything - I'd say the CX was an equally good contender for cool interior!

It IS a s1 Cx interior - a pretty special place to be - the Bx and Cx are years
apart but could only be from the same company!

The car is a Belgian registered 2.4GTi manual and imported into the UK by
a member of 2CV GB club in 1990 - my first CX!!

I do not use Photobucket, I have a HP Photosmart system. I cannot get any pics to upload at all. I cannot find a way to highlight where my photos/scanned documents are to upload them. Can anybody suggest anything.

Looked at the Sticky and still not working, just previews the folder that my pics are stored in. Have even got the wife to take a look (she used to write computer programs at one time) and even she can't work out the instructions that are on there??

Actually, Photobucket has had a slight facelift since the screen grabs shown
so I've saved some new ones to help things along which may help you get somewhere Geoff?

1: Where you get started on www.photobucket.com - remember too you'll need to activate
a user name with password access on their system to post images. The images/video upload:

2: To get a specific picture you click on the upload option which will pop up a search
dialogue to choose what you want to post:

Which then uploads onto photobucket and is catalogued onto your user account where
it is viewed in two ways:

A - small thumbnail with annoying dropdown options box which plays hard to get:

the code required for a forum picture insert is the whole string such as:
[ IMG]http://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g318/ ... ture24.png[/IMG]

*To get the code to display, I've slipped a barspace after the first [IMG)

B - a larger image filling the screen better when clicking on the previous thumbnail:

3: After all that, it can be copied and pasted onto the script entry as you would any posting,
giving an end result of:

The odd quirk with photobucket is their images will lock to the same width of a landscape
picture even where there is a choice of the scale so there's no chance of showing the
final picture much
bigger than the previous step B shown above it - mind, in this case it was a small size to
start with!

eh? Never mind!!

There are other photo hosting websites although the only other one I've used before is
http://imageshack.us/ although I prefer photobucket.
