BX 1.7 TZD for sale

Post by takehurst »

My father has a BX 1.7 TZD for sale. It is white, registered in 1995, bought new by my sister who sold it to my father 8 years ago. He is buying my daughter's agila as he wants something a bit easier to get into now he's getting on, and doesn't want the bother of selling his car, so I'm afraid it will be scrapped if no-one shows any interest in the next 2 weeks.
It has done 69,000 miles and is generally in good condition. The suspenion oil pipe has been repaired and is ok at the moment, but as with all bx's, no guarantees! There are a couple of electrical issues - the dashboard light and the rear windscreen wiper don't work, but as my father rarely uses the car these days, haven't been a problem to him, so he hasn't bothered getting them repaired.
The rear seats are in really good condition as they've been hardly used (my sister has no children).
It has 3 months MOT left and is taxed until the end of June.
He has removed the radio as he was expecting to scrap the car.
Any offers for spares or repair? He lives outside Warwick.

N reg? That must have been sat around for a while! Certainly seems a shame to waste if it's only going for scrap rate.

If nobody else wants this (and I need another car like a hole in the head) I'll save it...

Be good to know the ORGA number as it could be one of the last saloons in RHD made. Certain I've never seen a BX on an 'N'. Must have been hanging about for at least 2 years before getting the plate.

Looks nice. Door handle protectors I notice. :D

That's interestingly late registered innit?

Is there something wrong with/ missing from the sills though?

I think the black paint's worn off, Aero. It's quite a thin layer (as the telltale white worn area on driver's side sills often demonstrates). But it is odd to see it so worn!
