I can imagine the Lambo owner being a little miffed at having his car overshadowed.

New leather seats... No tears, no split seams, no worn bits, door cards, and genuine rear headrests. Quite a result I'd say:
It was a bit fun trying to fit the door cards in the dark though!
Will take some pictures of the car (nice and muddy at the moment after a spirited drive through some of Derbyshire's most pin-head single track roads
) and the new interior tomorrow. First impressions are good. Lacking a lot of lateral support, but it is the passengers that suffer the most, so it's quite fun watching them slide around really

Seats were picked up from a very nice chap in Derbyshire who had an 8v GTi that was being scrapped. I think the new seats make the car look a damn site better than the dirty original ones (which to be fair, I prefer)
More Piccies:
The next step would be to get a pair of proper 16v seats re-trimmed in leather to finish the whole thing off

From what he said, it was a high mileage car, very well looked after and with faded red paint. A fine car, until someone decided to crash into the back of it.

Each to their own ey, I just find the leather ones not as comfy as the cloth ones, hot in summer cold in winter etc, but they look fabulous!
Ive driven hundreds of differet cars over the years but have to agree that the 16v front seats are one of the most comfortable seats around.

Not only comfortable, but importantly hold you in the seat when hooning around bends, whilst I agree the leather looks ace, it's a bit of a PITA when you have to climb back into the seat from your passengers lap after giving it beans round a bend!!
