Not quite no, although much like the rest of the car the box is not a happy piece of machinary right now, so it'll get replaced with a known excellent spare box I have c/w very good previousley docced engine!

Did you just use the standard box & change the ratio's? or was a totally different box fitted?

It's a BE3 with a diff made to spec by a little company in Brizzle for me.
The gear set is part TD, part GTi 8V and, erm, I forget what the 5th gear set came out of...
Either way the synchro is dying, the bearings are going and generally it's had it.. I have abused the hell out of it mind!
